Little red's riding hood disillusion

Description

-She fell down, but the wind couldn't stop whispering to her already tired ears: 'He's about to come'. It was a lie. He wouldn't come. She has been wandering around, looking in all the places of the huge forest for him, she hoped he did the same, but she was no longer hopeful, and the wolves were coming, thirsty of blood. -

I was about to submit a very autumnal shot, with all the ginger leaves falling, but while I was editing the picture, suddenly I had the idea of representating a fairytale, thing that I hadn't done before, by changing all the colours of the picture, and making my own version of the well known story 'Little red riding hood'. I know I might have exceeded myself with the big amount of edition, but I just needed to have something like this in my gallery, I hope you like it!

The leaves are now red as the blood, who knows if Little red riding hood is still alive?

A very deep piece, with a very strong color and content balance. I adore the way the hands are laying over the face, and it overall has a very funereal vibe. It almost reminds me of a watery grave, especially with the hair trailing into the leaves.

The one thing that I wasn't sure of was the hair- I wasn't entirely certain that the blackish mass trailing towards the top of the picture was hair, and it almost looks like blood pooling. That works for this picture, though, and it adds to the dramatic, tragic, and almost entirely melancholy feel of the piece.

I also love how you edited the shirt- the fabric looks like velvet, which gives it a very rich feel. It adds to the tragedy of the picture.
